RAPID NeuroFascial Reset Therapy with Wouter Verweij, RMT
RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (NFR) is a revolutionary, evidence-based manual therapy technique that addresses chronic pain and limited mobility at the neurological level. Unlike traditional massage, which focuses on muscle relaxation, RAPID targets the body’s fascia (connective tissue) and free nerve endings to quickly reduce pain signals and restore proper function.
If you have tried other therapies without long-term success, RAPID NFR offers a new pathway to relief right here in Bradford.
What is RAPID NFR and How Does it Work?
RAPID is an active therapeutic technique. This means you are not just lying on the table; you are an active participant in your recovery.
During a session, I use hands-on palpation to locate restricted tissues that are causing inflammation and locking down your movement. While I apply precise tension and depth to these areas, I will ask you to perform specific movements. This combination floods the nervous system with sensory input, effectively “resetting” the muscle tone and releasing tension that has been held for months or even years.
Conditions Treated by RAPID NeuroFascial Reset
Because RAPID focuses on the neurological and fascial systems, it is incredibly effective for stubborn, chronic conditions that haven’t responded to standard treatment. It is commonly used to treat:
Headaches/Migraines
Back pain
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Shin splints
Shoulder pain
Sciatica
Plantar Fasciitis
Knee problems
Tennis/Golfers Elbow
Whiplash
TMJ
Frozen shoulder
Bursitis
Bunions and arthritic joints
Neurological Hypersensitivity
Piriformis Syndrome
What to Expect During a Session
A RAPID session looks different from a typical relaxation massage.
Clothed Treatment:
Treatments can often be performed over loose, comfortable clothing (like gym wear).
Active Movement:
Be prepared to move your limbs as directed during the treatment.
Intensity:
RAPID is designed to be therapeutic. The treatment can be intense (painful) during the application, but the goal is immediate improvement in range of motion and pain reduction once the restriction is released.
Efficiency:
Because the technique is so targeted, we can often achieve significant results in shorter, focused timeframes compared to general massage.
